Senior Java/J2EE Developer
Position Description
InfoTech is seeking a Senior Java/J2EE developer who will design, develop, and maintain Java web/desktop applications using various open source frameworks, tools, and libraries. The software developer will work with the other key team positions such as project managers, architects, and business analysts to ensure that the application solutions effectively support the business.
Required Skills
Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of client facing Java applications.
Troubleshoot application issues.
Identify, recommend, and implement systematic application improvements.
Provide project estimates.
Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions.
Work as part of a dynamic team to meet challenging deadlines.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong Java programming
Core J2EE experience – Collections framework, Generics, Servlets, JSPs
Spring, Struts 2, Hibernate
Maven, Ant.
Java applications servers – Jetty (preferred), Tomcat, JBoss, Glassfish
SQL database query language and Microsoft SQL Server
HTML, Javascript, JQuery, JQuery UI, JSPs, FreeMarker
Source control tools – Subversion preferred
Linux and Windows Server OS
PREFERRED SKILLS
Google Web Toolikt (GWT)
Highcharts javascript library
Agile development
Application lifecycle management tools – TeamForge, JIRA
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
BSc in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience as Senior Java Developer.
Any professional certification is a plus.
